Teaching, Learning and Assessment

The district's curriculum team consists of the Department of Teaching and Learning and The Department of Assessment and Learning. These entities work in tandem to create a comprehensive educational experience that centers on the use of a blended learning model which integrates technology into all classrooms. Our curriculum adheres to state standards in all subjects, including the core areas of English Language Arts (ELA), mathematics, science, and social studies. We also offer instruction in STEAM, art, music, physical education, and foreign languages. 

The district administers a variety of assessments to measure student levels of readiness, existing funds of knowledge, and student progress to deliver differentiated, student centered instruction and tiered instruction/support–focused on students’ strengths and areas of growth as it relates to academic achievement, social-emotional competency development, and behavior.
