Covid-19 Mitigation

While state and federal mandates for Covid-19 have been lifted there are some mitigating measures that remain in place. Students and staff that test positive for Covid 19 are required to isolate for 5 days. If your child tests positive, contact the school as soon as possible. The CDC Covid Isolation and Precaution Calculator can be useful to determine isolation period. If your child was exposed to Covid 19 they are still able to attend school, however you should take the following precautions:

  • Have your child wear a mask for 10 days
  • Monitor your child for any symptoms of Covid 19
  • Take a Covid test on day 5 after the exposure.

If your child tests positive for covid and they are not able to properly wear a mask then they must remain home and isolate for 10 days. We are offering remote instruction for students in isolation. Visit the Department Resources page under Teaching, Learning, and Assessment for more information.

BinaxNow rapid antigen tests are available at each school. Please contact the nurse for more information.
