Digital Backpack

The Digital Backpack is District 88’s central hub for sharing approved community programs, events, and family resources. Families are invited to explore opportunities that support student learning, enrichment, and engagement across our community. This page is updated weekly on Thursdays. Please submit items at least two weeks prior to the event date to ensure adequate review time.

All submissions are reviewed and approved by the Superintendent’s Office prior to posting and must meet district accessibility and content guidelines. Accepted file types include Microsoft Office files, accessible PDFs, JPG, and PNG.

Required Accessibility Standards

All submissions must meet the following requirements to be considered for approval:

- Materials must contain readable, selectable text
  (No scanned documents or image-only PDFs)
- Content must be provided in English and Spanish
- Images must include descriptive text (alt text or clear descriptions)
- Files must be structured for readability and accessibility
- Content must be appropriate for students and families

Submissions that do not meet these standards will be returned for revision prior to approval.
