Buildings and Grounds

The Buildings & Grounds Department maintains safe, clean, and well-maintained learning environments that support student success across Bellwood School District 88. Our team works year-round to ensure district schools and facilities are safe, functional, and ready to support teaching, learning, and community events.

 

Department Responsibilities:

  • Custodial services to maintain clean and sanitary schools
  • Building maintenance and repairs
  • Groundskeeping and landscape maintenance
  • Moving equipment, furniture, and supplies between district buildings
  • Monitoring environmental quality to help protect the health and safety of students, staff, and visitors
  • Ensuring compliance with applicable safety and environmental regulations

Building Use & Rental:

Bellwood School District 88 welcomes requests from community organizations and groups seeking to use district facilities.

 

To request use of a district facility:

  1. Complete the Building Use and Rental Application.
  2. Submit the application to the principal or building administrator of the requested school.
  3. Applications are reviewed and presented to the Board of Education for approval.

Please allow adequate time for processing, as all facility use requests require Board of Education approval. Applicants are encouraged to review the Board meeting schedule when planning events and submitting applications.
