State and Federal Grants
Bellwood School District 88 uses state and federal grant funding to support student learning, expand opportunities, and enhance programs across all schools.
Grant funding helps provide a wide range of resources for students and staff, including:
- Summer school enrichment programs
- Afterschool enrichment programs
- Updated curriculum and instructional materials
- Digital learning platforms
- Technology improvements
- Professional development for staff
These resources support student growth and overall success.
Grant Programs
The Grants Department manages more than 20 grant programs, including:
- After School Programs
- Career and Technical Education Improvement
- Consolidated District Plan
- Digital Equity 1 and 2
- Early Childhood programs (Birth–5)
- Title I, II, III, and IV programs under ESEA
- ESSER 1, 2, and 3 funding
- IDEA programs (flow-through and preschool)
- McKinney-Vento services
- Pupil Transportation reporting
- Title I School Improvement
- Title III programs for immigrant and language instruction
Department Responsibilities
The Grants Department supports the district by:
- Managing grant budgets and funding
- Submitting required financial and performance reports
- Monitoring grant spending and compliance
- Completing required reports such as comparability reports
- Identifying and applying for new grant opportunities
