Bellwood School District 88 uses state and federal grant funding to support student learning, expand opportunities, and enhance programs across all schools.

 

Grant funding helps provide a wide range of resources for students and staff, including:

 

  • Summer school enrichment programs
  • Afterschool enrichment programs
  • Updated curriculum and instructional materials
  • Digital learning platforms
  • Technology improvements
  • Professional development for staff

These resources support student growth and overall success.


Grant Programs

The Grants Department manages more than 20 grant programs, including:

 

  • After School Programs
  • Career and Technical Education Improvement
  • Consolidated District Plan
  • Digital Equity 1 and 2
  • Early Childhood programs (Birth–5)
  • Title I, II, III, and IV programs under ESEA
  • ESSER 1, 2, and 3 funding
  • IDEA programs (flow-through and preschool)
  • McKinney-Vento services
  • Pupil Transportation reporting
  • Title I School Improvement
  • Title III programs for immigrant and language instruction

Department Responsibilities

The Grants Department supports the district by:

 

  • Managing grant budgets and funding
  • Submitting required financial and performance reports
  • Monitoring grant spending and compliance
  • Completing required reports such as comparability reports
  • Identifying and applying for new grant opportunities
