Extreme Cold: E-Learning Day

Due to anticipated extreme cold and dangerously low wind chills, Bellwood School District 88 will implement an e-learning day on Friday, January 23. All schools and district buildings will be closed for in-person learning.

What to Expect:

  • Early Childhood Students
Students will participate in one hour of live, teacher-led instruction during their regularly scheduled session. Additional learning activities will be shared through Seesaw for students to complete independently.

  • Elementary and Middle School Students
Students will engage in a combination of live virtual instruction and independent learning activities, following their school’s established e-learning plan.

  • Roosevelt Middle School
Instruction will follow the “B” schedule for the day.

  • Teachers will use familiar platforms, including Google Classroom, Google Meet, and Seesaw, to share instruction, assignments, and directions.

  • Attendance will be taken in PowerSchool.

Students will participate in live virtual instruction and independent learning activities using familiar platforms. Families are encouraged to review the PARENT E-LEARNING LETTER for full details.

The safety and well-being of our students and staff remain a priority as learning continues.
