Black History Month

Bellwood School District 88 joins in observance of Black History Month.  We honor the legacy of Black Americans who remain triumphant and resilient throughout our nation.  Established by historian Carter G. Woodson, this month is dedicated to recognizing the history, achievements and contributions of black people that impact our communities.  In the coming weeks, our schools will be announcing events that our students will be participating in to commemorate this month. Additionally, we are hosting our annual Black History Month Celebration Saturday, February 25, 2023 at Roosevelt Middle School from 11:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. We hope to see you there!
