Grant Elementary

A Message from Our Principal

Dear Grant Families:

The 2018-2019 school year is off to a great start, and I look forward to continuing to partner with you to provide our students with a rigorous, high quality and culturally responsive elementary school experience.  It is important that we all recognize the importance of a strong home-school connection. Parents are every child’s first teacher, and I believe that by working together we can make sure we meet your child’s social, emotional, and academic needs.

Our theme this year, “Do it bigger, and do it better” will set the standard for the entire school year. We will continue our work and vision of students becoming global learners who think independently.

I believe that a great school is the result of great teachers collaborating with great families. I have spent a large amount of time in classrooms to ensure that your child is receiving the highest quality of education possible. I will continue this practice throughout the school year. I will provide teachers with prompt feedback on their instruction, access to professional development, and I will be reaching out to families for support with academic and behavioral concerns to ensure that we prepare our students for middle school and beyond.

Thank you for the opportunity to serve your families in this role. Please do not hesitate to reach out to me with any questions, comments, concerns, or just to say, “hi!”
