BILL OF RIGHTS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
STUDENTS SHOULD:

  1. Do your best in school.
  2. Show a good example.
  3. Have good attendance.
  4. Treat others as you wish to be treated.
  5. Be respectful to all people.
  6. Have pride in your school.

STUDENTS HAVE THE RIGHT TO:

  1. An education-right to learn.
  2. Know what is going on regarding school activities.
  3. Seek help from adults.
  4. Be treated with respect by everyone.
  5. An explanation of their report card.
  6. Written school policies and rules.
  7. Make up work after an excused absence.
  8. A dress code that is fair for all students.
  9. Participate in extracurricular activities.
  10. Due process when being considered for disciplinary reassignment, in-school suspension, or suspension for 10 days or less. A formal due process hearing before a hearing officer when being considered for expulsion.
  11. Receive educational services, when pregnant, under the same conditions afforded other students.
  12. Privacy in their personal possessions, subject to the right of school officials to conduct searches when there are reasonable grounds to suspect that a student has violated or is violating either the law or school rules.
